PCS: Pocket Collation System

The PCS
is a system made for grouping a variable quantity of packs arriving in a single row from a Flowpack machine and to be transferred by means of a pick & place system to another flow-wrapper to produce multi-packs, to fill plastic trays or cardboard boxes (display cartons)..

It is available in 2 versions: horizontal and vertical.

PCS-H (Horizontal Version)
The PCS horizontal version is based on a poketed belt working on a flat surface and moving horizontally. This belt has vertical dividers positioned to a fixed distance to generate “buckets” with a similar width to the packs being handled. The system allows continuous insertion (there’s always a bucket available to receive a pack) and outlet discontinuity, so as when a group is completed, by a compensating movement, it creates a momentary stop in front of the transfer station, to allow the packs to be extracted.
PCS-V (Vertical Version)
The PCS vertical version is made of one, two or three parallel, individually motorized belts, each one having a determined number of buckets with similar dimension of the packs being handled. The system allows continuous insertion (having a bucket always available to receive a pack) and outlet discontinuity, so as when a group is completed, the corresponding belt rapidly moves until it positions the group of buckets in front of the transfer station, stopping momentarily to extract the packs and rapidly re-starts to re-position at the beginning of the bucket group.
